Eyedeology Vision Center + Optique in Midtown Hosts Grand Opening Event
ATLANTA—November 19, 2008—Eyedeology Vision Center + Optique, a vision care center and optical boutique in Midtown Atlanta, will hold its grand opening event Friday, Nov. 21 from 3-7 p.m.
The event will feature hors d’oeuvres from neighborhood Midtown restaurants, mixed drinks and hourly giveaways, featuring designer sunglasses, signature perfumes, and high-end accessories. National representatives from high-fashion eye-frame lines, such as Gucci, Hugo Boss, Versace, and Tom Ford, will be on hand to help people learn what types of frames and lenses best enhance their faces.
“The representatives coming from the eyewear lines hold the highest training in matching lenses and frames to flatter faces,” said Eyedeology’s owner and optometrist, Sima Gupta, O.D., M.P.H. “We’re all trained in that here, but this will be an opportunity for anyone to get a personal consultation with the best in the business.”
The event will be held at Eyedeology at 860 Peachtree St., at the corner of 7th Street. The vision center is offering $50 off eyewear purchases of $200 or more to anyone that day who brings in a men’s hygiene product, which will be donated to the Task Force Men’s Shelter in Midtown.
An optometrist who holds a master’s degree in public health, Dr. Gupta practiced for years in Manhattan. When she moved to Atlanta earlier this year, she decided to open a vision center to combine her passion for quality eye care with high-fashion eyewear. Using the most up-to-date high-technology equipment, she can spend anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour testing eyes for vision accuracy, cataracts, diabetes, hypertension and other conditions whose signs often first show up in the eyes. She also, fits contact lenses, treats and manages ocular disease, and gives LASIK consultations.
